55+ Housing
The RVCL Sustainability Planning process has identified a need for housing that supports residents as they transition from early retirement to a stage of life where housing maintenance becomes an issue. The average age of Candle Lake full time residents is 56 years old. Currently we see long-time residents move away when their life circumstances change. A Housing Information Meeting was held on October 24th to discuss changing housing needs and options to meet the needs of our community. Nearly one hundred local residents turned out to provide input and share their ideas.
