Volunteers Supporting Aging in Place Initiative - Program Coordinator
The Resort Village of Candle Lake (RVCL), in partnership with the Candle Lake Health Services Committee, is seeking Expressions of Interest from qualified individuals interested in serving as the Program Coordinator for the Volunteers Supporting Aging in Place Initiative.
This innovative community health project is designed to support older adults and vulnerable residents to remain independent, connected, and engaged within the Candle Lake community. The program will establish and coordinate volunteer-based supports including transportation assistance, community navigation, social connections, wellness supports, and other services that address barriers to aging in place.
The Program Coordinator will play a key role in implementing and operating the program, recruiting and supporting volunteers, coordinating services, and building relationships with community partners and service providers.
The anticipated engagement is approximately 12-15 hours per week for an initial one-year period. The Program may be extended subject to funding availability and program requirements.

Volunteers Supporting Aging in Place Initiative – Program Development Services
The Resort Village of Candle Lake is seeking expressions of interest and proposals from qualified individuals, consultants, or firms interested in developing the operational framework for the Candle Lake – Volunteers Supporting Aging in Place Initiative.
This innovative community initiative is designed to strengthen local capacity to support older adults aging safely and independently within the Candle Lake community through three integrated service streams:
• Transportation Supports
• Navigation & Community Connection Services
• In-Home & Community Supports
The selected contractor will be responsible for designing and preparing the foundational operational systems required to launch and support the initiative.
This assignment is estimated to require approximately 300-400 hours over a period of approximately six (6) months.

Health Services Committee
Do you care about health and wellness in our community? Want to help shape the future of healthcare and services in Candle Lake?
What You’ll Do:
Attend meetings (once a month or as needed)
Help gather feedback from residents
Discuss ideas and concerns around health and wellness in the community
Work with others to make recommendations to Council
Candle Lake is becoming an Age-Friendly Community - we need your help to make it happen! We are looking for volunteers to join our Age-Friendly Sub-Committee to help create a welcoming, inclusive community where older adults can thrive.
